Appearance: Kakyuu is a little over 5'0 tall, with long red-orange hair and exotic red-orange eyes. Almost always her hair is up in two loose loops, with the remaining strands travelling down to near her knees. Along with this she also always wears her blue bewjeweled flapped crown and orange olive-petal hairpins which adorn her hair, On her forehead is the four-petaled osmanthus, sign of her planet and birthright, much as the crescent moon is the sign of Sailor Moon's birthright. Her make-up also continues with an orange-red motif, particularly in her eyeliner and lipstick.

In canon, Kakyuu is seen wearing only one formal off-the-shoulder dress, which is made fully of silk. The red petal-shaped skirt, the light red lower sleeve, and the upper red puffed sleeves are transparent, and she wears black and red-striped mojari and a blue, petal-shaped neck choker with strings.

In sailor form, she wears a red-orange petal skirt, much like the one she wears as a princess, only smaller, and her sleeves are also much shorter as well, consisting only of the upper red puff sleeve. Her torso area is covered in a bikini top and wings, as well as the requisite sailor top. She still wears the same neck choker and mojaris from her princess form when she is transformed. She also wears a star-jeweled tiara.

Personality: On the outside, Kakyuu is the definition of a true princess - calm, regal, quiet, refined, able to hold her own in a battle. Having learned to keep her emotions in check from a young age, Kakyuu has, for most of her life, checked many of of her emotions. She rarely loses her temper or lashes out blindly, even when she is sufficiently angered, and manages to keep a level head in battle, always doing her best to be the shoulder for others to lean on. She is fiercely loyal to those she cares about, especially her people, and her friends.

However, those emotions that do emerge paint the picture of a girl who has always put her duties before herself, a war-weary, sad young woman who has given a great deal of herself to others, but in the end lost everything to violence. Though she continues to profess optimism that everything will be all right, experience causes her to question herself and her beliefs as to whether everything can truly be resolved, and her hold on her emotions, especially when her friends are endangered, loosens greatly when this happens.

Physical Strengths: Kakyuu's most potent strength is that she is a sailor senshi, and thus isn't easily killed by normal attacks or items (bullets, knives, etc.) As Sailor Kakyuu, she has two major attacks: Starlight Straight Royal Flush (a magic card attack which calls on the strength of her three followers, the Starlights) and her signature attack, Kinmoku Fusion Tempest (which can best be described as the sans-lightning version of Sailor Jupiter's Oak Evolution attack, both being floral-based). She can also sense other senshi and similarly-powered individuals, like most senshi can.

When she is injured she has the ability to heal herself using self-produced osmanthus blossoms, which also emit a strong, enticing, but most importantly calming fragrance, which can lessen the negative emotions of others around her while she herself recovers. This ability is most effective when she is sealed inside a perfume decanter.

Psychological Strengths: Kakyuu's most potent strength is her hold on her emotions and her ability to hide her true feelings. As a princess, she was taught from a young age that her emotions could be used against her, and aside from certain exceptions, it is difficult to provoke Kakyuu or use her emotions against her. Another interesting strength is her enhanced protection against memory tampering by others - an unexpected side effect of drinking from the Desert River of Memory before her arrival. (Of course, in practice, this only works against people or magic items not on the Spiritual Level of Template. Otherwise, if one is strong enough and persistent enough, or if the third level so desired, this advantage can be negated.)

Physical Weaknesses: Despite being a senshi and alien born, Kakyuu is still human for the most part and can still be killed by normal items, even if it is more difficult to kill her with them. She is still highly susceptible to most magic attacks, especially fire, due to her unique nature.

Another problem is her scent. Though it allows her to heal, her healing process is still slow unless she is confined in a decanter, and the smell from her blossoms are strong and easily trackable. Anyone wishing to harm her, or do further damage to her, would just need to follow their noses to find her.

Psychological Weaknesses: Recent losses have also put her into a slight shock, and indeed, even though deep down she knows her closest friends and lover are gone, in some respects she is in denial that they ever did die. Indeed, her friends are her greatest weakness. There are times when she will start crying if one of her friends is hurt, even if the situation at hand is minor, and the injuries nothing serious - all because she wasn't there to protect them. Or, she will become angered and lose her temper if her friends are mocked in any way - especially if their cause of death is made fun of.

History: Details on Princess Kakyuu's life before the arrival of Galaxia to planet Kinmoku is sparse and bare-boned, as she rarely spoke of it.

What is known is that she was a princess of the Tankei Kingdom on planet Kinmoku, and most likely ruled it due to the fact her protectors were the Sailor Starlights - and she herself is Kinmoku's soldier, Sailor Kakyuu. However, little else is known about her beforehand. What is known is, when the Dead Moon was defeated on Earth, the combine power of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask - the rulers of the future Crystal Tokyo - pulsed out into the galaxy, touching all sailor soldiers, including Kakyuu, who saw it as the awakening of the strongest sailor crystal - namely, Sailor Moon's - and the birth of a new era of peace.

Not long after this, however, Galaxia appeared and attacked Kinmoku, killing everyone and everything she and her cohorts could lay their hands on, including Kakyuu's lover, who was killed in front of her. Kakyuu was also critically injured, but managed to teleport off the planet before Galaxia blew it up. Also surviving were her Starlights, though she was unaware of this fact as she drifted off aimlessly towards Earth, hoping to warn Sailor Moon of the danger facing the galaxy.

She landed in Juuban, where she was found by Chibi-Chibi, the mysterious girl with the umbrella. Immediately Chibi-Chibi sealed Kakyuu into a fragrance decanter in order to help her recover more quickly, bringing it with her to Usagi Tsukino's house when she moved in. Her scent helped ease some of Usagi's fears about the future, though even it couldn't soften the blow of what was happening: Galaxia was picking off Usagi's friends one by one, in order to bring her to a final showdown at a place known as Zero Star Sagittarius, where the birthplace of the universe, Galaxy Cauldron, was being controlled by Galaxia.

By the time Kakyuu had fully recovered and revealed herself to the Starlights - who had been searching for her and followed her scent to the Tsukino house - the outer senshi were about to be killed by Galaxia, and the three guardian cats - Luna, Artemis and Diana - had been seriously injured by Sailor Tin Nyanko, depriving them of the ability to talk. Nevertheless, Kakyuu spoke to Usagi, explaining Galaxia and her organization, Shadow Galactica, and confirmed her belief that Sailor Moon could stop Galaxia from destroying more worlds and return everyone to normal.

Unfortunately, when the group went to find the outer senshi, they were already dead, and Kakyuu herself would lose more on the way to the final battle in the center of the galaxy. First, she was doused in the Desert River of Oblivion, causing her to lose her memory while Sailor Lethe almost killed Usagi. Though Sailor Mnemosyne would return Kakyuu's memories, her Starlights would never regain theirs, as they were killed by Sailors Phi and Chi, who also killed Lethe and Mnemosyne for betraying Galaxia. Then, she was forced to look upon her friends' tombstones and remains by Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon, who nearly burned her alive.

Finally, Kakyuu confonted Phi and Chi in front of Shadow Galactica's cathedral fortress, who informed her her friends' crystals were already given to Galaxia. Enraged, Kakyuu transformed into her sailor form and attacked Phi, injuring her severely. As Sailor Moon finished off one twin, the other twin attacked Kakyuu from behind, stabbing her in the back. She died in Sailor Moon's arms, professing that she still believed in Sailor Moon and her sailor crystal, though by then her faith was shaken, having asked Sailor Moon for reassurance that victory was truly on the side of light.

Immediately after, Galaxia took her sailor crystal and threw it into the bubbling Galaxy Cauldron, along with all of the thousands of other sailor crystals she had taken over the years, so that they might be destroyed. It was part of her plan to have Chaos, a being trapped in the Cauldron, and Sailor Moon destroy each other, so that she would create a new universe. But somehow Kakyuu woke up again. She found herself in front of a church, and at first, she thought she was in Galaxia's cathedral, somehow resurrected. She could remember the warmth of the Cauldron surrounding her soul, and the voices of her friends calling out to her still rang in her ears.

She did not realize she had ended up in another universe entirely - the universe of Template.

Sample Journal Entry: ...I do not understand.

This is not the death that...I remember. My wounds....are gone. My pain is gone. But I remember it all....it's too clear....what could it mean?

I can't feel....I can't feel her anymore. She was always there, even across the galaxy, I could feel her. Even in that place....that warmth, I could feel her. Has she....no, she can't have. She's the strongest of us all! She has to be....she had to be alive. Yes. She must be. I'm just...not feeling her, somehow. She promised, and I believe her.

And yet....My chest hurts, so badly. There can only be one reason.

...

Taiki. Yaten. And...Seiya. I promised to bring you all home. I promised....you would be safe, that I would save you.

I lied.

Forgive me.

Sample Roleplay: Kakyuu sat on her knees in front of the small table, her hands on her lap. In front of her was a teapot and her special teacup, the steam rising from the water as it waited for its seasoning to be put in. The princess did not intend to disappoint.

From the folds of her sleeves, almost like magic, she produced three orange-red blossoms, which she crushed and sprinkled gingerly into the brew. Humming softly, she began to stir, the clear water slowly turning a soft orange. The heat emanating from the brew began to smell strongly of osmanthus, filling the room with a floral ambience it did not possess beforehand.

Quietly, Kakyuu brought the tea to her lips and gave it a gentle blow before partaking in it. It was a little crisper than she had expected it to be, but then again, it was probably for the best. Cold tea was terrible. She had to wonder why there were people who waited for the water to cool off before drinking, when it was the heat that brought out the best flavor of the tea. Granted, some, she knew, would argue that it must have meant that she didn't like iced tea. Not true, but iced tea wasn't technically tea anyhow. At least, not in the princess' mind.

Deciding that the flavor was just a little too strong after a second sip, Kakyuu poured a little more water into the cup, careful not to spill it over the top. Then, carefully, she stirred the blossoms and water once more, and took a little sip of the results. Much better, she decided, taking another sip as she looked to her left. The orange sun was beginning to rise over the Juuban skyline, with purples and oranges and whites lining the clouds.

It was a breathtaking view, she thought as her heart began to sink. It was a pity that they had nothing like it on Kinmoku anymore.
